As blogging has become such a popular hobby amongst family and friends, we decided to put up our own blog. This helps us keep in touch with family and friends and it’s a great way to share pictures with everyone too. For anyone who doesn’t know us, read below for a description of who we are.
Serving as the world’s greatest parents (or something like that) are Mike and Mary. We were married in July of 2000 and are about to celebrate our eighth year together. We met in high school, fell madly in love, got married and are now living happily ever after. The first part of that is true, but we work everyday at creating the “happily ever after” part. Our children are a large part of that. Let’s meet ‘em.
Our oldest son is Zach. His full name is Zachary Wayne, but he usually only gets called that when he is in trouble. Zach is now five and will be heading into kindergarten this fall. He’s a studious little boy that loves to learn and read and figure things out. He loves all things Star Wars.
Our second son is Preston. Preston Lamar. Preston’s a very musical little guy. He loves to sing and dance and has a knack for recognizing music that he’s heard before. He’s very creative and confident. He takes after Mary more in that he is more “feelings” oriented than Zach. Zach is a great big brother and takes care of both of his younger brothers. Preston just has a different way of doing that too. Preston loves Star Wars too.
Our third son is Kyle. Kyle Michael. He joined our family recently and has been a wonderful new part of it. Kyle screams more than the other two did. He’s what we call a “zero to sixty” baby, meaning that he can be fine one moment and screaming full tilt the next. He’s a cute little guy. He loves to snuggle, always has. He’s not as much of an eater as the other two were, which is one reason he hasn’t slept too great at night. He gets hungry more often and has to wake up to eat. He’s a sweetheart though, and we love having him.
So that’s our family, in just a few paragraphs. It may seem strange that a dad is doing the family blogging. But don’t worry, I won’t hog it all. Mary has done all of the scrapbooking in our family and is much better at preserving family history than I am. But I like computers and showing pictures to everyone, so this blog is a perfect way to do that. Thanks for coming around and we hope to keep you entertained with some of our everyday adventures.
