Zach: “Mom, wouldn’t it be SO COOL if they made “Transformers – the Musical?” I would love to see them singing and dancing around! That would be awesome!”
Soccer season that is! Soccer officially started on Saturday, and the boys are so excited! This is Preston’s first year playing, and he’s doing awesome and feels like he is pretty darn cool. Zach has 2 great coahes this year and getting in there and being more aggressive than last year – which is great! And Kyle spends his time at games and practices kicking his ball around pretending that he’s big. Sometimes it feels nutty to add one more thing to our busy lives, but overall we’re excited that soccer is starting!!

Our very first niece Lily was born on Thursday! We are so excited and think she is just beautiful and so, so sweet!! She’s going to have to be tough though to put up with all the boys!

My boys were really excited to go meet her. Kyle kept looking at her, jabbering about her, and rubbing her hair. Preston says she is really cute and he loves her hair. (She has TONS of thick dark hair). Zach kept commenting about her perfect lips and how red they were. They sure love her!

Today was Preston’s first day of his last year of preschool! He loves preschool and has been so excited for it to start ever since Zach started. We do a mom’s co-op, and so I love that the first day of preschool is at our house! It’s fun to be there with him, and it givs us a great start to a great year! Preston is now one of the “old” kids in the class, and he was a big help in teaching the younger kids all about preschool! Preston’s such a good, smart kid and we love him!!

Last Saturday was Kyle’s NICU graduate reunion! They held it at North Shore this year – which all the boys thought was awesome! All day long Zach and Pres kept asking if it was time for Kyle’s NICU party yet! We had so much fun! And it’s so neat to see all these kids that started out as sick (and sometimes SUPER sick) babies running around having a great time, healthy as can be. Wow!

Nick is a NICU graduate too so we got to go together! How fun!!

How grateful I am for the medical technology that has made it so I have 3 healthy little boys! I think back on the scary times after each of my boys was born – especially Zach when we didn’t have a clue what was going on – and I feel so grateful for doctors and nurses that kept fighting for them, and for the medical knowlege to know what to do. I think I will always LOVE Dr. Terashima – who was our pediatrician for Zach and Preston. Every doctor and nurse was perplexed by Zach, and kept saying the things that were happening “never happen” (which certainly scared us brand new parents). But Dr. T spent countless hours working, researching, and worrying on our behalf until we figured it all out. And Preston and Kyle had amazing doctors and nurses as well that made sure they ended up healthy. So, here’s to all the many NICU doctors and nurses that help these sweet little babies have a better start to life!!
