(In case you couldn’t tell what the title is, it’s the wedding march!)
My Mom got married on Saturday, and what a fun day it was!! We were all able to go and do a temple session together before the wedding – which was really nice. And the came the main attraction – the wedding! It all went so well and was so much fun! My Mom looked beautiful and they were both so happy! And the best part was that they had the handsomest bishop in town perform the ceremony! (And yes, I do mean my hubby). Mike was lucky enough to be able to perform the ceremony – which was really special (and nerve racking) for us. Zach and Preston got to walk down the isle with their cousins, which was fun for them. Especially Preston who came tearing down the isle at full force and I had to send him back to walk calmly with the other boys. Kyle of course screamed through a lot of it, and we were so blessed to have a wonderful family friend walk the halls with him. But all in all it was a great day, and we are so happy for Mr. and Mrs. Don Wittke! Congrats!

What a fun Christmas we had this year! I swear that every year it gets more and more fun! There is nothing in the world like Christmas with kids! They were so cute and nice to each other – I think this is the first Christmas we haven’t experienced the “Christmas Meltdown” that every parent dreads. And I think Zach and Pres were just as excited to give everyone the gifts that they bought at the “Santa Shop” as they were to open their own presents. Too cute! Kyle missed out on the first half of Christmas morning (since Zach woke us all up at 6:00), but once he got up even he got into the excitement of it all. Here are a few of the fun expressions on our kids’ faces on Christmas morning – it doesn’t really do it justice, but I thought they were cute anyway. Check out the identical raised eyebrows on Pres and Ky!

Zach and Preston also had fun “playing Santa” and passing all the gifts out to everyone. And nearly every present that one of the boys opened was opened by all of them – so every gift was a joint effort. I love to see them get excited for each other. Of course, that also means they have a tendancy to “take over,” but they all had fun. It’s hard for me to choose which of all the zillion pictures we took to post, but here are a couple more Christmas morning pictures:

After we were done with presents, Uncle Tee called from his mission, and it was so fun to talk to him!! We miss him so much! Once we were done with that we made the trek down to Salt Lake and spent the rest of the day with our families. I don’t want to put up TOO MANY pictures, but here is one more of each of us:

This is my blessing dress! My Mom made a shadow box with it! I was way excited!

I feel like I haven’t blogged in awhile, but now I’m getting over holiday craziness, and wanted to put up a few things. I was looking over my hundreds of holiday pictures trying to decide what to post, and I realized that I had nver put up pictures of Zach’s Kindergarten Christmas program! And since I blogged about Preston’s, I have to blog about Zach’s!
It was such a cute program! The kids were just darling, and had worked so hard to learn all the songs. Zach even had his “special part” where he got to lead a song! He did a great job and we had so much fun watching it! Liz and her kids even braved the snow that day to come and watch! Thanks Liz! Here’s my cute Zach!

We like to send out a Christmas card and letter to people we don’t see very often, but I figured I’d put our letter up here too for all of those that see us often enogh that they don’t get a letter. (sorry) So, here it is! I’ll add our card too after I scan it in!
An Oveson Family Update
(in 60 seconds or less)
Kyle: Kyle joined our family in April of this year, and I don’t think any of us could even begin to imagine life without him! He adds a lot of excitement to our family! He is a very busy little baby, and can’t wait to get up and run around with his brothers. He thinks they are the best and they adore him as well!
Preston: Preston started preschool this year, and is loving it! He is such a creative little boy, and loves to use his imagination. We lovingly refer to him as our family storyteller and our family cheerleader. If you ever have a bad day, Preston is the one you want there to help cheer you up!
Zach: Zach started Kindergarten this year, and is also loving it! It’s been fun to watch him “venture out” into the world and make new friends and have new experiences. When he’s not at school you can almost always find him in the playroom with Preston surrounded by a bunch of legos!
Mary: Mary can usually be found running around trying to keep up with our active little family, and trying to keep everything and everyone in place. She is so blessed to be a stay-at-home mom, and thinks back with a smile at the days when she used to wonder what moms did all day!
Mike: Mike continues to stay busy – we think it’s a great way to keep him out of trouble! He has managed to survive his first year as bishop, and continues to work and go to school and be the fabulous husband and father that he is. Yes, we too think he must be super-man!
** MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL FAMILY AND FRIENDS! WE WANT TO SAY THANK YOU FOR THE COUNTLESS WAYS EACH OF YOU HAVE BLESSED OUR LIVES!

Preston: “Mom, you don’t need to teach me anything else. I now know everything I need to know for when I am a grown up.”
Really? How did he get so lucky? I STILL don’t know everything I need to know to be a grown up!!
We took some of the cutest Christmas pictures of the boys! I’ll post some others later when I have time, but I just had to put a couple pictures up of our little “santa baby!” He is the cutest!
